Position Available: Coordinator of Religious Education
Location: Community of St. Athanasius & St. Rose of Lima
Employment Type: Part-time (less than 15 hrs/week)
Start Date: Immediate Opening
We are seeking a dedicated and faith-filled Coordinator of Religious Education (CRE) to lead and support our religious education programs. The CRE will be responsible for planning, implementing, and overseeing faith formation for children and youth, in alignment with the teachings and traditions of the Catholic Church.
Responsibilities include:
- Organizing, teaching and supervising religious education classes (eg, Sunday School, Sacramental Prep)
- Recruiting, training, and supporting volunteer catechists
- Collaborating with clergy, staff, and families to foster a vibrant faith community
- Managing curriculum, materials, and program logistics
- Coordinating special events such as retreats, service projects, and liturgical
celebrations
Qualifications:
- Practicing member of the Catholic Faith
- Experience in faith formation or religious education
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and compassionately with diverse age groups
- Bilingual is a plus
